Robots I have built:
Next, Quadrobot a 4 legged walking radio controlled robot that made it onto British TV in Techno Games filmed in December 2002 and shown on TV in March 2003
|This fully articulated robot used 8 servos driven in
programmed sequences by a PIC 16F877 micro and a further
servo for bending the body to steer it.
It had a speed control with stand, walk and run modes, and all movements followed the leg actions of a small dog.
The Radio control receiver simply fed signals into the PIC micro to tell it to speed up or slow down or to turn right or left.
Unfortuntaley , while it was very stylish it was not very fast and it got beaten in the heats by a cow and a penguin!!!
